12 Tips How To Be More Positive

Have you ever heard if you want something you have to do or be more of what you want in your life? Being more positive is one of them. Plus people like being around more positive people and it can be challenging to maintain positive mindset.  We are bombarded by negativity from almost everywhere, right?

So here are 12 tips that will help you stay on track.

  1. Write down what you are grateful for in your life every day!

    You’ll be surprised how many things you find. I’ve been practicing a gratitude journal for two months now. Actually longer but because being on holiday side tracked me I stopped. And guess what? The good stuff also stopped coming my way. So from my own experience, never stop 🙂

  2. Surround yourself with positive people

    Easy said then done? Maybe. Happiness and positivity is contagious! If someone around you is  happy, laughs wildly you can’t help but laugh too. Your mood immediately goes up. By the way, if you happen to feel down one day, just start laughing! Your brain and mind cannot recognize whether it’s real or you’re faking it!

  3. Self Care of yourself

    Eating well balanced diet, hydrating properly throughout the day, got to bed no later than 10 pm (ideally), move your body – exercise, walk, dance. Have a “Me Time” regularly. All of these contribute to your physical as well as mental wellbeing.

       4. Take responsibility of all your actions

Self pity and victim mentality is out. If you change your attitude to learn from your mistakes that will            move to closer to the goal you desire. And you will be more attractive to others.

       5. Compliment people you come to contact with

It has to be genuine for it to work authentically. In this way, you train your brain to look for the                       goodness out there and it will eventually become a habit.

       6. Be part of a community

It’s amazing what effect helping others or volunteering can have on you – the way you think and feel.             Or even creating a community local to you with an interest that resonates deep in your heart.

        7.  Read inspirational books

Filling your mind with positive content, reading about someone’s life and how they managed to                      swing it round is very uplifting and helps you think you can do it too.

        8. Have a goal and work towards it

Staying focused is the key. It prevents you from thinking about all possibilities what could go wrong. Instead you see how things are moving in the right direction for you and you gain a sense of accomplishment and achievement. Feeding into your positivity. I can back it up with my own experience.

        9. Consider the consequences

If you think you will or you won’t accomplish something you are always right! So plan your work/goal otherwise you plan to fail. Avoid the fail by being prepared!

       10. Identify and replace negativity

Notice when you are negative in day to day activities and replace these thoughts with positive, beneficial ones. It may take some effort at the beginning but you’ll feel a lot better. It take discipline you’ll never look back.

        11. Practice makes perfect

All of these tips of course won’t happen over night. By recognizing and acknowledging the feelings and replacing them. Make sure you persevere with these practical tips.

        12. Never ever give up

Even olympic athletes or ask any sport professional they have to be persistent in order to get to the top. Keep at it and you will eventually get there.
